1989 Trip to Germany
(photo) One of the members of our travel group with Hans Ambroji (sp?), the doctor of agriculture who is serving as director of Eberbach Winery. In those days, he had the additional post of headmaster for the German Wine Academy, and he is also the author of a detailed manual (right photo) for that same winery. See chapter 13, page 178. Photography Junko Hamajima
(photo) A pamphlet from the Eberbach Cloister, built in the 12th century. Wine was the cloister's commodity. The Middle Ages marked the height of wine cultivation in the Rhinelands. This cloister and winery were photographed in the movie "The Name of the Rose", as well as other places in Eberbach City along the Neckar River.

For Eberbach City, There's "The Major's Guide"!

(photo) The name Eberbach means (Boar-River), it can be found on the city's first coat of arms, and stands out on souvenier designs as well.
(guidebook: EBERBACH, Wander the romantic, medieval streets of the ancient town.)
There is a guide book of the ancient German town of Eberbach for Japanese tourists. The major, drawn on the cover at the request of the city's tourist bureau. The one on the right was printed in 1994, and the one on the left is from 2002. In 1990, in evaluation of services to the city's tourist industry, the creator was awarded an honor.

Aoike's works have been translated into languages like English and Chinese
(photos) Left * Vol. 1 of "From Eroica With Love" was published in the fall of 2004 in America (DC Comics, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company). The contents are the same as volume one published by Princess Comics. It's popularity is climbing in even Canada and Hawaii. Center * The Chinese-language version of "From Eroica With Love" published in Taiwan is "Romantic Hero" (Xxxxxx Publishing Company). Right * The Chinese-language title for "Z" is "Secret Agent Z" (Xxxxx Publishing Company).
(photos) Left * "Sons of Eve" is "Beautiful Children of Summer (?)" (Xxxx Pub). Center * "Seven Seas, Seven Skies" is "Falcon of the Seven Seas (?)" (Xxx Pub). Right * "Brother Falco" is "The Burning Mark of the Sainted Mother (?)" (Xxx Pub.). The character for "burn" is red and designed to look like it's burning, and it's "sugomi", which isn't in the original Japanese title. It's really interesting to compare the characters' lines in the foreign language translations with the original Japanese.
