Sep. 1st, 2010 11:34 pmHey guys.
Due to LJ's new Facebook and Twitter Connect feature, I've decided it's time and more than time to make my f-list smaller. It's nothing against anyone, but I feel uncomfortable with the thought that people I don't know well (or haven't known for a long time) have that kind of ability to re-post comments on my journal into other media so easily.
This particular journal is a boring personal one now, anyway, so I guess it's more than time to disentangle it from older fandom things.
For the Zuka folks, I hope we'll keep in touch over at

Date: 2010-09-01 02:48 pm (UTC)When I saw that Facebook/Twitter stuff this morning, the first thing I did was trying to find a way to turn the buttons invisible. But it seems there isn't one. :(
I have neither one nor the other, and the fact that even lj now jumps on the bandwagon is kind of annoying, in particular that 'repost comment' function.
Anyway, as I said, I am happy that you kept me. ♥

Date: 2010-09-01 02:53 pm (UTC)There is a way to make it so that you can't see them on your own computer, so long as you use Firefox. (http://tiptoe39.livejournal.com/1151391.html) But it doesn't really fix the problem.

Date: 2010-09-01 02:59 pm (UTC)...from what I see in the icons in the link you posted, the new options don't have many fans.

Date: 2010-09-03 02:51 pm (UTC)If they're trying to do this to rope *in* FaceBook users, which the wording in their latest "news" update seems to say, it does make a twisted kind of sense.
Which STILL leaves them with 10,000 enraged livejournal users. Heh.
